吳承翰以具個人特質的視覺語言,將日常片刻與社會事件的情感餘韻寄情於畫面,並以自然生物為比喻,透過改造與擺置營造敘事與奇趣。他巧妙結合傳統水墨氛圍與當代媒材:遠觀似水墨,近看卻是壓克力與畫布重構,在筆觸與墨色之間引發對觀看與認知的思考。在近作中,金黃花卉象徵盛放與凋零,轉化為對生命、時間與情感的共感,讓日常生命不再只是背景,而成為情感的鏡像與主角。
Cheng Han Wu employs a distinct visual language to infuse everyday moments and the reverberations of social events with emotional resonance. Often using natural organisms as metaphors, he transforms and repositions them to create narrative tension and playfulness. His works merge the aura of traditional ink painting with contemporary media: from afar evoking the spirit of ink, yet upon closer view revealed as acrylic on canvas. This material paradox invites reflection on perception and recognition. In recent works, golden-hued blossoms embody both flourishing and decay, evoking empathy for life, time, and emotion. Here, natural forms become more than motifs—they are mirrors of feeling, shifting the ordinary from background into protagonist.
