Wei-Ju CHIANG’s paintings grow from the quiet moments of daily commuting, where his gaze lingers on overlooked details: blooming wildflowers, rusted tin, weathered wood. These seemingly incidental scenes bear the traces of time and become vivid presences on his canvas. For Chiang, painting is a process of return—to raw visual perception, to the rhythms of daily life, and to the lived reality of the land beneath him. His works invite viewers to rediscover the unnoticed landscapes of the everyday and reflect on our connection to environment and life, ultimately guiding us toward a deeper recognition of self.
